Nostalgia and Romance at Gilleleje Badehotel

Gilleleje Badehotel was originally built as a guest house in 1895 in the picturesque area surrounding “Gilbjerghoved”. This area has since that time maintained its position as one of Denmark’s greatest locations.

Many people have lost their hearts to this area. One of them is the famous Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, and in a tribute poem he wrote “Gilbjerget will forever be one of my favourite locations… here I have seen, so to speak, the world’s emergence.”

Now – about a hundred years after the construction of Gilleleje Badehotel – you will experience the same environment and atmosphere as back then. The hotel has been re-created with due respect to the seaside hotel traditions at that time, and no matter in which part of the hotel you are, you will feel the ambience of the past.
